Abstract

To improve student achievement, especially in mathematics, it is necessary to look for appropriate and effective and efficient efforts. One of the efforts is the selection of a learning model that places more emphasis on student learning activities and not on teacher teaching activities. There are several learning models that can be applied in learning mathematics. One of them is the Numbered-Head-Together Structural cooperative learning model. In learning mathematics, especially in the subject matter of fractions, this Numbered-Head-Together Structural cooperative learning model can increase learning achievement and students are more active in discussing and collaborating in solving problems. In this study, the problems studied included: 1) the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Dolok Sanggul in the 2018/2019 academic year through Numbered-Head-Together Structural cooperative learning for the subject matter of circles, and 2) is there any influence of the structural cooperative learning model numbered-head-together on the mathematics learning achievement of Grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Dolok Sanggul for the 2018/2019 Academic Year. This study aims to: to determine the effect of the numbered-head-together structural cooperative learning model on the mathematics achievement of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Dolok Sanggul in the 2018/2019 academic year. While the data collection technique is done by testing. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it can be concluded that Numbered-Head-Together Structural cooperative learning can improve learning achievement and the activity of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Dolok Sanggul in the 2018/2019 school year for the subject matter of circles. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that teachers should always be active in involving students during learning activities and choose learning methods or models that are appropriate to the subject matter to be taught.
